I already have a venue coordinator, why do I need to hire an event or wedding planner?"First of all, we love our venue coordinators! Your venue coordinator’s sole responsibility is to look out for the needs and deliverables of the venue. While they can be extremely helpful and will gladly guide you in a general direction of what to think about and what vendors you may want to consider, they are not there to work with you side by side throughout the planning process and direct you to those specific vendors that will fit your specific wedding needs. It is not in their job description to confirm your vendors, run your rehearsal, oversee the vendors at your wedding, cue you down the aisle at your ceremony, make sure all of the day’s events are running according to schedule and that your vision and priorities for the day are represented. Your event planner works tirelessly for you to make every aspect run smoothly, ensures your vendors are properly informed, sends out a final timeline and contact sheet prior to the wedding, makes sure you are having a great time celebrating and ensures that your vision has become a reality. Your event planner will give you unbiased recommendations and opinions specific to your wedding’s budget, style and overall vision.
-
How comfortable are you planning weddings with over 400 guests? We have years of experience working with guestcounts over 400 guests. We understand that large guest counts require additional assistants, added signage, and a specific attention to detail than smaller weddings and we can say with confidence that we are extremely comfortable planning larger weddings as we are smaller weddings.
-
Do you have an extensive list of South Asian vendors? We certainly do! With over 12 years of experience, we have an extensive list of both South Asian and non-South Asian wedding vendors including Priests, live musicians, decorators, etc. Our job is to make vendor recommendations to you based on your specific style, budget and personality regardless if they are South Asian or not.
-
Do you have any additional examples of your South Asian wedding experience?Absolutely! Feel free to visit our Instagram (@cgandcoevents) or our Wedding Portfolio page on our website. Please let us know if you are looking for something specific and we would be happy to send it directly to you.
-
What type of packages do you offer for South Asian weddings? All of our wedding planning packages apply to South Asian weddings and are located on our Wedding Planning Services page on our website. We do not increase our pricing if you are having multiple events in one (1) day. We are also happy to create a custom package for your multi-day wedding weekend.
-
Have you planned and executed weddings during the Covid pandemic? We have! While most of our 2020 weddings were postponed to 2021 and 2022, some of our couples chose to continue on with their original wedding date. Modifications were certainly made in order to ensure the health and safety of all of those involved. Visit our Events Restructured / Events Reimagined page to learn more about what CG & Co Events is now offering.
